I dont know if anyone else has been concern with the lack of maintenance on the trail.
As the chair of Beautification, I felt I had to do something. Please see the note from Ed:

Good afternoon Vonda:

Typically we don't maintain projects during construction but I understand everyone is using the White St portion already and it is overgrown.

We hired our maintenance contractor to start servicing this segment in August. If you don't see a dramatic improvement early next month, let me know.
