Yes, as Danielle's response indicated, it appears that the reason we are so "popular" is that our housing prices are at $49 a square foot, way below those in other parts of town.

It reminds me of those unintentionally backhanded compliments like, "You look so good! You've lost a lot of weight!"

I'm looking forward to the day when we're like a certain neighborhood I heard about in Decatur, where people I know had their name put on a waiting list to buy a home, with instructions to their real estate agent to put in an offer on whichever home came up for sale next, SIGHT UNSEEN. Now, that was a popular neighborhood.
