So are people in the neighborhood upset when people install vinyl or hardiplank siding? We pulled off a bit of our aluminum siding this past weekend and the wood underneath looks pretty abysmal (it's petrified and weather-worn and may not be salvagable.) We'd love to do new wood, but it's out of our already inflated renovation budget. We still need to talk to the urban design commission to find out what our options are at this point. Does anyone have suggestions or advice?

I am almost positive you can use harding plank. It just depend on the width. please email handy for clarification handyj@dnr.state.ga.us
