WEST END ATLANTA

The mayor, part of the city council and the CFO of Atlanta believes the citizens of Atlanta deserve a tax increase. They said we are going to run out of money. Yet they have not taken any measures to cut waste in government. Why have they not look at generating revenue? They cut the meter maid program which bought 3-4 million into the city. Is this the kind of government we want to give our money? A government that does not collect fines that are currently on the books and could bring in another 10 million dollars? A government who thinks the citizens pockets are open for them to take whatever they want? Don't get me wrong, I dont mind a tax hike, if I thought that my money was being use wisely. Right now, I just think my money will be used to prop up an inefficient government.

The council will vote on this issue on Monday 9am, if you can come out to support or oppose it.
